HILL Woltron Graz voted as the most women- and family-friendly company
Vienna, 2 March 2012 - HILL Woltron Management Partner Graz win the Styrian provincial competition »The Most Women- and Family-Friendly Company« in the category of »Small Enterprises«. 39 enterprises and institutions located in Styria took part in the competition this year.
The family-friendly personnel policy of HILL Woltron Graz is generally distinguished by flexible basic conditions enabling the compatibility of job and family. Women are actively supported in their career efforts and take on executive positions. On comeback to work, with a career plan based on the HILL Competence Analysis, HILL Woltron Graz support women with the possibilities of flexible comeback or extended maternity leave.
The success of HILL Woltron Graz is also due to its women- and family-friendly company policy. In the case of caring and nursing duties, the choice of days off from work and planning holidays, HILL Woltron Graz show consideration for the individual needs of members of staff. Family competences such as a gift for organization or the ability to solve problems are considered criteria for employment, and formally unrecognized professional experiences and qualifications are also taken into account. Staff members may take their children along to work, claim temporary teleworking, and in cases of emergency HILL Woltron Graz are even prepared to take over child care. Allowance is made for the parental leave of members of staff in company membership
Further education measures are highly rated: the offer includes sales training and EDP courses as well as specialist training, e.g. in the fields of labour psychology, coaching, recruiting and personnel development. The company bears the overall costs and also offers child care for the duration of the further training course.

The Graz office of HILL Woltron Management Partner GmbH supports Styrian enterprises and public institutions in the recruitment and selection of their personnel. The focus of the company’s activities is placed on scientifically informed aptitude testing, but personnel and organizational development, supervision, coaching, training sessions and individual career counselling are also offered. In 2006, Mag.ª Cornelia Steiner assumed management of the office, which has been in existence since 1981. HILL Woltron Graz employ four members of staff with blocked working hours, one of whom has parental part-time employment and another is marginally occupied.
Competition »Deeds instead of Words«
The goal of the Austrian initiative »Deeds instead of Words«, launched in 1991, is to improve the situation of women and men in the working environment by a consistent policy of equality. The initiative underlines the significance of women- and family-friendly provisions as the basic prerequisite for the compatibility of family and job. The provinces of Vienna, Lower Austria, Vorarlberg, Carinthia and Burgenland followed as regional committees of the competition ‘Deeds instead of Words’. The State Award ‘Family-Friendly Company’ has existed since 2010.
