The Stress Test for Enterprises

Prof. Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Georg Turnheim, HILL-AMC Management

Currently, the feeling of insecurity and instability at the work place, in society and even in the family is increasing on an above-average scale. The causes are manifold and are partly linked to global changes in societies and the growing employment of new information and communications technologies.

For enterprises, such times of uncertain economic development are difficult to master, especially as the survival of the enterprise is often at stake. Apart from the requisite funds and their associated liquidity, the motivation, integrity and loyalty of the employees play a decisive role in the survival of the enterprise. How does management recognize in time that stress and burnout are reducing the productivity of the enterprise so much that competitiveness is getting lost?

In order to be able to analyze this essential corporate situation, HILL-AMC has developed a modularly structured diagnosis system. The diagnosis system for stress and burnout prophylaxis is based on original research and can thus be adapted to the special concerns of the enterprise in question, if needs be.

The HILL-AMC stress test is based on scientifically established diagnostic methods from test psychology – supplemented by long-standing experience in the fields of organizational analysis and personality diagnosis. With the results of the stress test, management obtains suggestions for effective prevention, development and counter-measures. The stress test has the following structure:

>  The problems, the persons concerned, the objectives and the course are discussed and the method explained in a talk with the management

>  Then follow the analysis and diagnosis to establish the status quo in terms of loyalty, integration and burnout by using the HILL-AMC modules: competence analysis, personality tests, organizational analysis and structured in-depth interviews.

>  Assessment of the analysis and diagnosis leads to a catalogue of measures. The individual measures are weighted according to their threat potential to the enterprise, deadlines are set and those responsible appointed.

>  During implementation and taking all the specific conditions of the enterprise into account, measures are continuously taken to increase the stability of and reduce the danger to the enterprise.

The HILL-AMC stress test creates the prerequisites for management to ensure the necessary economic success – even during crises on the market – and to protect the company from unpleasant surprises.
