Senior Accountant - Belgrade

- Bachelor’s degree in economics
- Good knowledge of English, ability to communicate with ease to international stakeholders
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as senior accountant
- Experience in international system is obligatory
- Experience from construction or MNS is beneficial
- Knowledge of Serbian accounting legislative
- Experience in working in consolidated financials is a plus
- Responsibility and flexibility in work

The main responsibilities include:
- Prepare and document assets, liability, capital account entries, and other financial transactions in the ERP/Accounting system.
- Analyze accounting options and recommend financial actions.
- Collect and summarize financial information to prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
- Substantiate transactions with auditable documentation and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Reconcile discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, maintaining financial security and confidentiality.
- Verify documentation, request disbursements, and prepare payments.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports by analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
- Ensure tax compliance by preparing VAT, CIT, and other returns under local regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors to finalize external financial audits.
- Support line manager with special projects and workflow process improvements.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
