Key Responsibilities

• Ensure stable, secure, and efficient global IT operations across applications, infrastructure, and regional units.
• Drive service excellence by maintaining high availability, performance, and effective incident and escalation management.
• Own and optimize the global IT budget with a strong focus on cost transparency, efficiency, and scalability.
• Manage outsourcing strategies and oversee external providers, including contracts, SLAs, KPIs, and performance.
• Execute the digitalization roadmap and lead the stabilization and continuous improvement of SAP S/4HANA.
• Lead and develop the global IT organization with [gt]100 employees, ensuring strong governance, security, compliance, and clear reporting to executive leadership.

Key Requirements

• Completed university degree, ideally in Information Technology or a related field
• Extensive leadership experience in IT operations within an industrial mid-sized or corporate environment
• Proven responsibility for end-to-end IT budgets and cost management in complex organizations, with a strong focus on cost and performance
• Strong international experience and solid understanding of plant- and region-based IT structures
• Broad technology expertise across IT applications, infrastructure, and platforms (on-premises, cloud, hybrid), including ERP programs such as SAP S/4HANA
• In-depth knowledge of IT security, resilience, and operational risk management, with a mindset of ensuring stability as the foundation for digitalization
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing, hybrid teams with a pragmatic, agile, and execution-focused leadership style
• Fluent English skills are required; additional German and/or Spanish language skills are an advantage
• High level of flexibility regarding travel and potential relocation
